Cub Scouts, ages 8-10 years old, start to build upon fundamental skills in outdoor adventures, teamwork, and leadership. Placed in small groups called “Lairs”, the youth are challenged to explore their personal development in the following six areas:
Outdoors Environment
Leadership
Citizenship
Active & Healthy Living
Creative Expression
Beliefs & Values
With the motto of “Do Your Best” in mind, Cub Scouts are encouraged to be determined in trying new experiences like camping and pioneering.
Like the other age sections of Scouting, programming is youth-led with guidance from the Scouters.
